OTTAWA–The final end of a crime that started 13 years ago has finally come to an end. 53 year old Ralph Corey has been sentenced to over 33 years in prison for the attempted rape and kidnapping of an Ottawa teenager back in 2000. The crime victim read a statement to the court before the sentence was pronounced. She says she’s been haunted ever since the attack, and it caused problems in dating men. Corey has a long criminal history dating back to 1978. The earliest he could be up for parole would be around 2041.
