OTTAWA — The 200 block of South Main Street will be closed for the special Ottawa High School pep rally tonight. Main Street between Second and Third streets will be closed from 5 to 8:15 tonight, Police Capt. Adam Weingartner said. The pep rally is part a celebration honoring the Cyclone basketball team’s state championship. The boys’ basketball team, the dance and cheer teams and the Ottawa High School band will appear as part of the activities. KOFO’s Hoop Talk coaches’ show will be broadcast live from in front of Pizza Time at 7:06. Cars parked in the 200 block of South Main may be relocated to accommodate this event, Weingartner said. However, he said vehicle owners will not be ticketed nor will they be charged relocation fees.
