EDGERTON — All lanes of northbound I-35 between K-33 at Wellsville and 175th Street at Gardner will be closed for bridge construction work Friday night to Saturday morning. The Kansas department of transportation said northbound I-35 will be closed beginning Friday night at 10 and lasting until Saturday morning at 8, weather permitting. The northbound lanes will be closed to allow a contractor to set girders for a new Homestead Lane bridge at the new intermodal interchange. Advance message boards will alert drivers to the road closure. Traffic will be detoured north to U.S. 56, KDOT said. Drivers should expect delays and must plan to use alternate routes during the closure.
