OTTAWA — Will the answer be blowing in the wind? That will be a question for tonight’s meeting of the Ottawa Planning Commission. After several months, the city planning staff will bring back a recommendation that would allow wider use of those vertical advertising banners called wind feathers. Although several businesses in Ottawa have put wind feathers in front, the city’s sign rules don’t allow them. City planning and codes director Wynndee Lee said she’ll recommend changing city rules to allow wind feathers but with some conditions. However, the planning commission has previously refused to change the rules regarding wind feathers. The planning commission meets tonight at 7 at city hall.
