OTTAWA — Killough Construction will start work on the Davis Road/K-68 interchange beginning Monday. City Public Works Director Andy Haney says that as work continues this summer, there will some lanes blocked at various times, but traffic on K-68 will remain open. However, he says that beginning April 8, Davis Road will be closed for about 800 feet north of the K-68 intersection until the project is done in mid-September. A detour for industrial park business traffic, particularly trucks, will use Montana Road with access from the new US 59 freeway. He said flashing message boards that will notify drivers far enough in advance for them to adjust their route with the least difficulty have been brought to the site. Improvements will include new turning lanes on K-68 and Davis, as well as a new traffic signal at the interchange.
