COUNCIL GROVE — The Kaw Mission State Historic Site at Council Grove will present a historical re-enactor portraying the man who figured prominently in the movie ‘Lincoln’. Educator and historical re-enactor Steve Germes will present ‘Thaddeus Stevens: The Man who Went Toe-to-Toe with President Lincoln’ Sunday afternoon at 2, April 21. Germes will offer a first person portrayal of the fiery abolitionist and US Representative from Pennsylvania who frequently confronted Lincoln over the conduct of the Civil War. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for students.
