OTTAWA — Davis Road will be closed at K-68 today, weather permitting. Killough Construction plans to begin work on the overhaul of the Davis Road/K-68 intersection. That part of Davis Road will remain closed until the project is done. The city of Ottawa said that should be mid-September. About 800 feet of Davis Road north of K-68 will be widened and storm sewers, sidewalks and bike paths install along Davis Road. Turning lanes and traffic signals will also be placed at the intersection. Some lanes along K-68 may be closed at certain times of the project but the highway will remain open, the city said. Electronic bulletin boards have been placed in the area to alert motorists. A detour for truck and business traffic has been established from the Montana Road interchange on U.S. 59.
