OTTAWA–The Ottawa School District has accepted an out of court settlement of 2.5 million dollars against Manning Construction Company of Olathe. Several years ago, the District sued Manning for 4.7 million dollars because of shoddy work at Lincoln and Garfield Elementary Schools. Several Board members commented that if they had let the case go to trial, the district may have received more money; but there is also the chance they would get nothing.
