OTTAWA — Hearings for two men charged in an armed robbery at the Princeton Quick Shop in December have been rescheduled for April 25 in Franklin County District Court. A preliminary hearing for Dalton Dunnagan, Mound City, will determine if there is enough evidence to try him for aggravated robbery and aggravated assault in connection with the robbery. He remains in jail on $50,000 bond. At a recent hearing, a judge denied his request for reduced bond. William Pope, Garnett, has also been charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault in connection with the robbery. A judge has agreed to his request for a new defense attorney and his hearing will be more routine. Two men entered the Princeton convenience store and one brandished what appeared to be a hand gun and demanded money from the cash register. The cashier gave the robbers a little more than $1,200. Within minutes, Ottawa police officers pulled over a car matching the description of the car used in the robbery along I-35, between the K-68 and 15th Street interchanges. A 30-year-old Topeka woman in the car with the two men was questioned and released.
