PAOLA — An exhibit at the Miami County Historical Museum focuses on a long-time Paola business.  The exhibit, called  “From Fluor to Taylor Forge: 80 Years of Pipeline Forging History” looks at Taylor Forge Engineered Systems through photos, diagrams and old publications.  The company, which started as Fluor Corporation, makes large and oversized equipment  for customers ranging from oil pipelines to the aerospace industry.  The Paola exhibit is a partner site of the Smithsonian Institution’s “The Way We Worked” exhibit at Baldwin City’s Lumberyard Arts Center through May 5.  The Franklin County Old Depot Museum in Ottawa also has an associated exhibit dealing with railroad workers.
