JOHNSON COUNTY – If you commute to Johnson County for work, your travel could be delayed starting Monday. A resurfacing project of US-69 highway is set to begin at 7:00 am Monday morning. The project will cover a 4-mile stretch of northbound and southbound US-69 from 179th street to the Johnson/Miami County line. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on both northbound and southbound lanes of US-69, although this will occur one direction at a time. Advance message boards will alert drivers to the lane closures. Drivers should expect major delays during the peak hours and should use alternate routes, if possible.
