MIAMI COUNTY — The Kansas Department of Transportation will host two public open houses for the Miami County K-68 expansion project next week. Monday night’s K-68 meeting will be from 5 to 7 at the Louisburg American Legion Post. Tuesday night’s will be from 5 to 7 at the Paola Community Center. KDOT says there won’t be a formal presentation. Instead, KDOT officials will discuss the $10 million improvement project for eight miles of K-68 between US-69 at Louisburg and US-169 at Paola. However, KDOT doesn’t have enough money to do the entire project. KDOT officials will be asking the public for suggestions of what they think should be done first.
