GARNETT — A member of the Garnett Tourism Board says the city should practice what it preaches when it comes to its new promotional campaign.  Two years ago, the city unveiled a new slogan and logo and kicked off a campaign to coordinate its tourism and economic development efforts with the logo and slogan and promotion plans.  The Anderson County Review reports that tourism official Scott Rogers told City Commissioners recently that new buildings and improvements should be designed to follow the promotional campaign.  He says that city facilities, especially around Lake Garnett, which is a major attraction, are a patchwork quilt of colors and materials.  As employees make changes or improvements, the city should be consistent in its choice in design, materials and colors and stay true to the promotional campaign.  City officials replied that they are keeping those concerns in mind.
