TOPEKA – The Kansas House of Representatives passed legislation this week that would stop the usage of state tax dollars to provide publicity for arguments that are for or against expanding or lessening gun control. Legislators believe, while the right to free speech should be protected, it does not mean the government should use citizen tax dollars to supply promotions for a single person’s ideas. The bill now goes to Governor Sam Brownback for final approval.
