TOPEKA — Several tornadoes were reported Monday night in northeastern Kansas. Although no injuries were reported, the twisters caused some property and structural damage in two counties, said Sharon Watson, of the Kansas Division of Emergency. Marshall County appears to have been hardest hit, although Smith County, which is just to the west of Marshall County, also had two reports of two homes destroyed there, she said. Oregon Trail Equipment, a John Deere dealership, near Marysville, received major damage, she said. There were also some homes in the area that sustained minor damage. People in eastern Kansas are being told to brace for the threat of severe weather all week long, through Saturday.
