GARNETT — The general contractor for the $25 million Anderson County
Hospital building project will host a bidding meeting tonight for local contractors and businesses who would like to get contracts for the project. Turner Construction Company and the hospital trustees will host an information meeting for subcontractors this evening from 5 to 7 at the Garnett Knights of Columbus Hall. Anderson County commissioners will hold a public hearing on the project June 24 before issuing bonds for the project. Voters approved a bond issue for the new hospital earlier this year. Construction begins in August.
