GARNETT — The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department continues to look for a suspect in early Thursday’s home invasion on the east edge of Garnett. Investigators talked to two people in connection with the invasion but no arrests were made, Sheriff Vernon Valentine said. Officers continue to look for someone they’ve identified as a person of interest, he said. An assailant walked into the house on East Fourth Street, which was unlocked, and attacked two men in the house, he said. The man used a personal weapon, which Valentine declined to identify, to cause non-life-threatening injuries to one of the men.
