OTTAWA — The Ottawa City Band kicks offers a hot time for a hot night tonight as part of its summer concert series at 7:30 at City Park. “Dancing and Romancing” is tonight’s theme, said band director Mark Paquette. The audience is more than welcome to take part with some dance moves of their own, he said. Dr. Caroline Doolittle is the guest soloist and will sing George Gershwin’s “Embraceable You” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.” This year, if listeners have favorites that have been played by the ottawa city, you vote to hear them again. Each concert, the audience will be asked to vote for a couple of their favorites, Paquette said. The last concert of the year will play the most requested tunes, he said.
