OTTAWA — A 28-year-old Missouri woman was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center as a result of a two-vehicle crash at the K-68/I-35 interchange Saturday. Kathie Banfield, 42, Emporia; exited I-35 on the north-bound ramp and stopped at K-68, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Banfield pulled onto K-68. Ritter told troopers that she tried to avoid Banfield’s pickup. Ritter was hospitalized. Banfield and an 11-year-old passenger weren’t injured.
