OSAWATOMIE–The John Brown Jamboree continues through Saturday Osawatomie. Toby Carnivals offers a variety of rides each evening beginning at 6 through Saturday. Helicopter rides are available beginning this afternoon through Saturday afternoon. Rides start at 4 this afternoon and Friday and Saturday afternoon at 2 until dark at the Osawatomie football field for $35 for a 3 to 4 minute flight. At 5:30 tonight, the Presbyterian Church BBQ and the Osawatomie School Band summer program are at Memorial Hall, and the Community of Christ ice cream social is at the church. The parade will be tonight at about 7:30 down main street. The Band of Oz will perform at Memorial Hall following the parade. A tennis clinic will start tomorrow morning at 9 at the Sports Complex, the Little Miss and Miss Osawatomie Pageant is tomorrow night at 6:30 at Memorial Hall. Admission is free. One of the organizers, Grady Atwater, says that tomorrow night kicks off an expanded series of concerts Friday and Saturday night.
