FRANKLIN COUNTY — The retrial for a Wellsville man charged with killing a motorcyclist has been rescheduled for October 21 in Franklin County District Court. Roger Shaw successfully appealed his conviction of involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence of alcohol. The accident killed 21-year-old Aaron Kichler. A hearing for pretrial motions has been set for September 23. Citing the severity of the case and of the relatively quick time frame, District Judge Thomas Sachse refused Shaw’s request to lower his bond from $75,000 to $25,000. Shaw’s family told Sachse that they can’t post bond that’s any higher than $25,000.
