OSAWATOMIE — Nelson Worley, 43, Osawatomie; matched the first five numbers in Powerball Saturday night and won $1 million. He’s been rolling in the luck. Worley was clinically dead a year and a half ago after going into cardiac arrest but was brought back to life by a Good Samaritan. He was at a go-cart track in Olathe then when his heart stopped beating and he collapsed. A young man jumped off his go-cart and came to Worley’s rescue, giving him CPR until First Responders arrived. Worley said he never learned the young man’s name but Worley said he’s grateful, saying the he saved his life and gave him his future back. He’s not complaining that he missed the Powerball and a chance at the $141 million jackpot. “I lucky to be alive,” he said. Worley owns his own stucco contracting business, New LLC, in Osawatomie. He and his wife Shannon have five children and one grandchild between them. The Worleys plan to use their prize money to pay off their house, buy a swing set and make some investments.
