OTTAWA — Things are moving on the K-68/Davis Road project and motorists will soon see all those road barricades disappear in a few weeks, public works director Andy Haney told Ottawa city commissioners Monday during their study session. Basework and underground work are done, and the sidewalks and retaining walls are being completed, he said. The contractor will do the back filling and then grind off the old asphalt along the project area and repave the road, he said. Haney said the contractors tell him the traffic signals could begin operation and the intersection open in late August or earlier. There could still be a few minor traffic glitches as finishing touches are put on the project, he said.
