LAWRENCE — One company submitted a bid to build a lakeside, destination resort at Clinton State Park near Lawrence. State officials will look at the bid submitted by Lodgewell Resorts of Overland Park, and may choose to negotiate a contract with the company. There is no deadline for the review and negotiation process, but state officials hope to make an announcement this fall.
The state has long sought to have someone build a 750-room hotel and convention center at the lake.
