KANSAS — A professional hunter and TV personality from Tennessee has snagged some time in the pokey.  US Attorney Barry Grissom said a federal judge ruled that 50-year-old William “Spook” Spann violated his federal probation and must spend 30 days behind bars.  Spann had originally pleaded guilty to illegally hunting a deer near Stafford, Kansas, and taking it across state lines.  He was fined and given probation.   As part of his probation he was banned from hunting for six months.  However, Grissom says Spann was hunting in Tennessee and violating a Tennessee law against baiting turkeys.  In addition to the jail time, he was banned from  hunting anywhere in the United States or the world for a full year.
