KANSAS — The state Medicaid program, KanCare, is collecting household information from beneficiaries to meet new federal eligibility guidelines. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is mailing the instructions and a data collection form to about 130,000 households of KanCare beneficiaries who are parents with children or pregnant women. The mailing is not being sent to elderly and disabled KanCare beneficiaries. The new form includes a question if anyone in the household plans to file federal income taxes next year.
