EMPORIA – Gov. Sam Brownback and transportation secretary Mike King will host a transportation summit at Emporia State University Sept. 5. This summit will provide the opportunity for business, community and government leaders to work together to chart a new course transportation in Kansas, Brownback said. Presentations will include a panel discussion with key industry leaders moderated by Brownback, as well as breakout sessions and a lecture by futurist and transportation expert Garry Golden. The summit is open to the public but space is limited and requires pre-registration by Aug. 15 at the Website www.ksdot.org.
