OTTAWA — A fire early this morning destroyed a trailer home in the 800 block of East Walton. The structure was vacant at the time of fire, Ottawa Fire Chief Jeff Carner said. When firefighters arrived, the fire had already extended beyond the structure and had ignited some nearby trees, he said. No dollar loss has been established but the trailer was a total loss, he said. Ottawa police said investigators believe the cause is of a suspicious nature. Carner said the cause of the fire is still under investigation. There were no injuries.
