GARNETT – The Anderson County Historical Society is expressing thanks for its generous next door neighbor. Chuck Gettler has applied for and been granted $1,000 from his employer, Phillips 66, to be used at the historical society museum and the Harris House. Anderson County Historical Society Vice President Shirley Roeckers says Gettler has also secured an additional $500 in grant money, and is working to secure another $500 gift. Gettler volunteers his time at the historical society by taking care of the lawn, various other projects, and watching over the buildings during non-business hours.
