OTTAWA — An Overland Park man was sent to the hospital and southbound I-35 was shut down for almost an hour after a wreck Sunday morning just before the Marais des Cygnes River bridge.  54-year old Vincent Herr of Overland Park was traveling southbound when he drifted onto the shoulder and struck a legally parked semi a little after 11:00 Sunday morning.  Traffic was diverted off I-35 at K-68 and through Ottawa until the wreckage could be cleared.  According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Herr was transported to Ransom Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.   Herr had two dogs traveling with him.  One was killed in the wreck; the other ran away and is now missing.
