OTTAWA — About 135 seniors from Franklin County High Schools took part in a Day on the Job Thursday. Franklin County Development Council’s Jeff Seymour says students learned about the jobs that might be available to them after they graduate and met some of the people who might hire them. But Seymour says there’s another more long-term reason for the event. He said he’s hoping that the students will remember the support and encouragement they received and choose to return to the area to live.
