OTTAWA — Ottawa residents will see something new this month on their utility bills. City finance director Scott Bird said that starting in mid-January, the bills will show gallons of water used. For many years, the city bills have showed water use in units of 100 cubic feet. The Kansas Water Office has ordered the changes to allow customers to better understand how much water they use each month. Bird said the change won’t affect the cost of water.
