WILLIAMSBURG — A 55-year-old Williamsburg woman reported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s office Tuesday night that while she and a 16-year-old teenaged boy were going south on Colorado Road near Jackson Road, north of Williamsburg, a man drove up behind them and then tried to run them off the road. The man ran over a road sign and dragged it down Colorado Road, she said. She identified the other driver as a 34-year-old Melvern man. The sheriff’s office said an alert was sent to Osage County authorities, who went to Melvern but didn’t find the man. The sheriff’s office said a report was sent to the Franklin County Attorney’s office.
