GARNETT — Garnett will go to the ghosts and their ghoulfriends Thursday for Halloween. The Friends of the Prairie Spirit Trail will host the “Happy Haunted Trail” 5:30-8 p.m. at the Santa Fe Depot. The event is free and trick or treaters will receive free hot dogs and sweet treats. Cash and cans of food can be dropped off for ECKAN. Also Thursday, Garnett city employees will continue their “Forest of Fear” at the old city dump along K-31 about two miles west of the city from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. They’ll offer a half-mile’s worth of howls and thrills. Free hot chocolate will be available. All ages are welcome but children will be admitted based on parents’ discretion. Admission is $5. Some of the proceeds benefit the Garnett Senior Center.
