MANHATTAN — A food consultant will present a talk called “Is Your Hamburger Killing the Planet?” at Kansas State University 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19. Jude Capper will talk about sustainability in the beef industry and how agriculture will feed the world in 2050 in Forum Hall in the K-State Student Union. The event is free and open to the public. Her talk will also be streamed live on the Web site www.liveauction.tv. She said part of her current work involves disproving myths related to the environmental impact of livestock production. Her talk is part of K-State’s Upson Lecture Series.
