OTTAWA — Fast-footed Ryan Murphy grabbed $1,000 worth of groceries during the Ottawa Rotary Club’s “Grocery Grab” at Ottawa Country Mart Saturday. Murphy had five minutes to fill as many shopping carts as he could, the Rotary Club’s Ed Coulter said. The Rotary Club does the Grocery Grab twice a year and Coulter said it’s the club’s biggest fundraiser. This weekend’s event raised about $2,200, he said. Proceeds go to scholarships at Ottawa High School, dictionaries for Ottawa sixth graders and books for fourth graders, and bicycle helmets for second graders.
