VASSAR — A woman was killed Sunday evening after she was thrown from a mule in the 23000 block of K-268 at Vassar. Two people were riding mules when a loud vehicle caused one mule to buck throwing the woman, Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Dunn said. Dunn withheld the name of the woman, saying she didn’t live in Osage County and the sheriff’s department was trying to notify the next of kin today. The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the accident.
