OTTAWA — Franklin County deputies had to handle more than a hundred accidents along major roadways during this weekend’s ice and snow storm. The sheriff’s office said at least three weather-related accidents involved injuries. Zao Dapeng, 54, Rowland Heights, Calif., was driving a semi-truck north on I-35 near Homewood when he lost control on the ice and his truck jack-knifed Saturday morning. Danette Adamson, 43, Gainesville, Ga.s, was also driving a semi north on I-35 and she tried to avoid his truck but slid into the trailer. She was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital. William Wiseman, 62, Ottawa, was traveling south on Old Highway 59 Saturday afternoon near Pawnee Road, when he lost control of his vehicle due to ice on the roadway. His vehicle went off the road and rolled over one time. Wiseman taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital. Charles Asbery, 64, Ottawa was driving east on K-68 near Nevada Terrace and hit ice on the road and went into the ditch Saturday evening. He and a passenger, Carolyn Asbery, 56, received injuries. There was no indication if they were hospitalized.
