KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A Missouri man will be sentenced later this month after trying to rob a Kincaid bank last year. The bungled robbery ended in a shootout in Linn County. Daniel Lee Waddell, 28, LaRussell, Mo., pleaded guilty to trying to rob the former Citizens National Bank at Kincaid, now the Landmark National Bank, and pleaded guilty to robbing a bank in Langan, Mo., the Anderson County Review reported. He’ll be sentenced in federal court in Kansas City Jan. 28. The Review reported a second suspect in the Kincaid robbery attempt, Stephen Michael Hudson, 32, Webb City, Mo., could also plead guilty as part of a plea bargain. Two men tried to rob the Kincaid bank but were foiled by security measures. They fled but fired at a citizen following them and tried to shoot it out after a pursuit that was ended in Linn County by law officers.
