WELDA — A Lenexa man was taken to Anderson County Hospital, Garnett, Monday morning after he hit a deer southeast of Welda in southern Anderson County. Robert Chase was driving south on U.S. 59 near 800 Road when he hit the deer, Anderson County Sheriff Vern Valentine said. Chase’s car rolled over after the crash, Valentine said. Emergency crews had to cut Chase out of his vehicle.
