POMONA — The first of four finalists for the new school superintendent for West Franklin USD 287 has cancelled a community meeting and interview with the board set for tonight. The school district said the candidate has accepted a job with another school district. Three finalists are scheduled to be in Pomona to meet the public and the school board this week. The public will get a chance to meet the finalists each evening at 5 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the West Franklin High School commons. The board is looking for a successor to Dotson Bradbury who is retiring.
