OTTAWA — Because of the number of limbs that were blown down from trees by the winter storm that packed heavy winds Sunday, the Ottawa public works department will do another limb collection. Crews will collect limbs placed at curbside beginning next Monday, public works director Andy Haney said. Because of other projects that must be completed, Haney said crews will make only one complete round of the city and expect to have the collection done by Friday, Feb. 7. He asks home owners and residents to move limbs to the street as soon as possible. To make collection easier, and to limit possible machinery damage to yards, stack the limbs parallel to and close to the street curb. Collections cannot be made in alleys because of the tight spaces, he said.
