OTTAWA — Ottawa firefighters were called Saturday morning to a fire on the exterior balcony of an apartment at Canterbury Court, Fire Chief Jeff Carner said. Carner said the fire was apparently caused by discarded smoking material. The occupant was home at the time of fire but there were no injuries, he said. Damage was estimated at $250.
