OTTAWA – At the recommendation of Supt. Jeanne Stroh, the Ottawa school board unanimously voted Monday to give a $500 payment to each district teacher. The district saw strong enrollment this year and Stroh said the good enrollment news justifies some extra pay for the teachers. The payments will cost around $98,000, she said. A stipend for other employees will be considered in May, she said.
