RANTOUL — Like those pasture signs say, if you cross the yard, be fast because the dog is faster. And that was the case in the 400 block of East Main in Rantoul Monday afternoon. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said a 43-year-old Rantoul woman reported a man grabbed a package from her front porch and started running. But not faster than the woman’s dog who chased the thief. He dropped the package and the woman recovered it. No word on a suspect.
