OTTAWA–People have different opinions of whether lobbying is a good thing…but when it comes to what cities need, it does serve a purpose. Ottawa City Commissioner Blake Jorgensen says moves by the Kansas Legislature to curb lobbying is a negative development, because it’s only through lobbying elected officials that cities such as Ottawa can make sure their viewpoint on issues is heard.
