BALDWIN CITY — The Baldwin City Public Library will be closed Wednesday and Thursday as a new furnace and air conditioning system is installed. The new system is part of a library expansion project, which will add about 50 percent more space to the building. That includes a jazzier entrance, a new Kansas and local history room, larger children and young adult areas, with the potential to enlarge the adult section. Other improvements include a new roof, a new multi-purpose room, an extended circulation desk, a new kitchen, and a new family bathroom with a changing station. The project is scheduled to be completed at the end of May.
