OTTAWA — A 19-year-old Waverly man is in the Franklin County jail after losing a foot chase to Franklin County deputies and Ottawa police early Monday morning. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office saids an officer pulled over Dustin Johnson at East 23rd Street and Princeton when he jumped out of his vehicle and ran into a nearby wooded area. =He was collared a little more than a hour later and booked into the jail on suspicion of obstruction of justice. He may not be in the Franklin County jail long. Douglas County wants Johnson for a probation violation and Anderson County wants him for an aggravated battery warrant, the sheriff’s office said.
