POMONA — The cause of a fire occurring in the 1000 block of Rock Creek Road that destroyed two outbuildings and damaged a house southeast of Pomona Monday morning is under investigation by the state fire marshal’s office, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and the Pomona Fire Department. Assistant Pomona fire chief Alan Radcliffe said the cause of the fire is being investigated as being of suspicious origin. The two outbuildings had been destroyed when firefighters arrived, he said. A fire in the house was contained to one room. “We knocked it down pretty quickly,” Radcliffe said. No one was at home when the fire occurred, he said.
