OTTAWA – Dr. Dong-Hyun Son is Ottawa University’s new choir director. Son brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and an international perspective to the university, OU music programs director Roger Kugler said. Son received a bachelor’s degree in vocal music from Pusan National University in South Korea and has served choir director for several churches, schools and community groups in South Korea. He received his masters degree from Youngstown State University in Ohio, and his doctorate from Kansas University. He has served as choral director for churches, and performing and operatic groups in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Kansas.
